photo update!

finally have some time and decided not to procrastinate further in updating. heh. i've been wasting time busy with some yahoo! trial games of late. but the games have not been good enough for me to part with 19.99usd. been toying with the idea of getting wii. or the ds lite. but i just dont know whether it's worthwhile/useful or i'd just be wasting money. same goes with the mobile phone upgrade. the current phone's keystick response is getting worse. cant navigate through functions smoothly and it gets quite frustrating for me. and the phone fails to connect incoming calls occasionally. the phone is otherwise still usable so i dont wish to fork out money to buy a new one. not now at least. cash strapped.

on to the photo update of recent events.. =)

firstly.. here's the two flat tyres -.-
first flat tyre... honda. a punctureand the guy fixing it. second flat tyre... nissan. a tear in the tyre.
well, there was some good that came out of these two flat tyres. now i know how to change a tyre! but i dont have the strength to lift the spare tyre out of the boot. not much help either.

we arrived really late. so we had loads of time to kill while evelyn was busy playing a game set up by her uni friends.

i had already known abt mandy's surprise party, but this girl came to ask me out to celebrate her bday. how not to agree?!
i drove.

had that flat tyre.. and was extremely late. but we finally arrived at Waraku Restaurant at marina square.

and i was very hungry.

mandy had the hotate and cheese cream. the bowl was bigger than her face.lol

i had the ayame (sushi and soba).

we also had a prawn side dish..

and we had three drinks. the beautiful lady, peach chuHi and iced water. the nicest was the beautiful lady. must try!

the food at waraku is really good. super delicious and quite affordable. i would say it is better than sushi tei. maybe coz sushi tei is familiar and has the usual japanese fare, while waraku offers something different.

the girl finally turns 21 two days later..with a huge bash by her bf.

nig and i only arrived after the surprise.

and this is why.

i wrapped her present with 21 layers of wrapping paper. hah!
this is her tearing off each layer. i'm sure she had loads of fun! ;P

and this is her cleaning up her mess..very unglam.

i thought i was quite smart with this wrapping paper. tore it out from a magazine and folded it to fit the present so nicely. *pats myself on the back*. stay forever21 mandyy...

went to Melt~ the world cafe at Oriental Hotel for it's buffet dinner with my parents.
mummy dearest.

the buffet spread was really good. for the first time, i actually wanted to try a lil of everything! i didnt want to skip anything. the buffet spread included indian, thai, western, seafood on ice, sushi, a small selection of barbequed meats cooked on the spot, and a huge dessert section. but alas, i had to give many delicious looking items a miss due to the small capacity of my tummy, in which i regret. i think it was at $55 per person for dinner. quite worth it for that price i think.

it seemed like my luck hasnt changed. still having a tinge of bad luck. i couldn't attend cindi's 21st coz before leaving for the party, my toe nail cracked 3/4 of the way and i had to peel the entire piece off. it was my little toe and it hurt quite a bit. nigel peeled the nail off for me and it bled. totally killed my mood and was in minor shock. photos are here and here for those who dare to take a look. a bit gross la..dont say i didnt warn you.


ok.. i'm tired. and feeling hungry. and dreading work tmr.
